Everyone makes a big thing about style. Beginning writers go out of their way to come up with a unique style. They have it
backwards. No professional writer strives for style. It is not the objective of writing. Remember the objective of writing is entertainment - to grab the reader's interest. You will develop your skills in being able to see the world, your sense of
drama, and these coupled with your own personality will be used to project to the reader the truth of the action taking place in your story. It does not come from striving for it, style comes from you, from your personality, in your honest effort to
display for the reader the power and intensity of the action of your story.
